Applicants also need to paste their recent passport size photograph on the space provided in the application form. And there is a small section in the application form which should be filled and signed by the school principal or the head of the institution. Applicants also need to sign on the application form.
Syllabus:
- The mental ability test is to judge your power of reasoning, logical sequencing, reading comprehension, etc.
- The language test is designed to test your command over the language subject, that is, English or Hindi.
- The SAT section tests how much knowledge you have gained in school reading your textbooks. As different schools (or boards) in India follow different course books, there is no prescribed book or syllabus for NTSE.
- However, you can refer the NCERT syllabus for classes 9 and 10 for your NTSE preparation.

NTSE exam pattern 2021:
The exam pattern for both the stages of NTSE 2021 is given below. Applicants’ requirement refers to the NTSE 2021 exam pattern as it makes us familiar with respect to the number of questions, distribution of marks, the time selected, and much more.
Exam pattern for NTSE 2021 stage 1/stage 2:
NTSE stage 1 will be conducted by the respective states and UTs on November 3 and 4, in the offline mode. There will be two papers held for stage 1 as mentioned under. Candidates need to score 32% for SC, ST, and PWD category and 40% for the General category in order to qualify the exam. The selection criteria for stage 2 of NTSE 2021 requires a candidate to qualify in both the papers separately. The selection of the awardees will be made on the basis of total marks scored in MAT & SAT based on merit. There will be no negative marking.
